Episode 05: Fiat Lux

The year 1989 stands as a majestic moment in history, having profoundly altered the trajectory of the world.

While the Chinese military violently crushed a peaceful mass demonstration in Beijing, resulting in the loss of hundreds of innocent lives, Eastern Europe experienced a seismic shift as communism crumbled and the Berlin Wall fell.

In the Soviet Union, free elections were held in 1990, and shortly thereafter, Lithuania, followed by Latvia and Estonia, declared their independence.

The Soviet Union eventually dissolved, marking the end of an era and the dawn of a new age in world affairs.
